3 Counties Church

Summer Reach 23rd - 28th July

"We really enjoyed extending a helping hand to local people, offering fun things to do & making our public places neat & tidy. Despite the weather, we all really got into the spirit of loving your neighbour & being of service to others".  Jack Robson, youth worker at 3 Counties church and organiser.

Young people from the Parish of Haslemere, St Stephen’s and 3 Counties churches and from DNA, a Christian discipleship organisation, were out in force between 23rd and 28th July blessing the local community with fun events and practical service during an initiative called Summer Reach. The practical tasks crews performed included gardening for residents who find these jobs difficult to manage and litter picking in playgrounds, greens and local beauty spots. Fun was had at a youth event supported by Dylan’s Ice Cream and sports for kids at different Haslemere locations. The finale was a Family Fun Afternoon on Lion Green with a café and kids activities. This event was made possible by support from the Hokey Cokey, Carron Marquees and financial assistance from various local organisations.
